Karen Whitney is a Rock Canyon High School English teacher, mom of four amazing kids, and member of the Happy Crew Board. She has dedicated her career to working with teens, teaching English and facilitating peer mentoring programs at all levels from middle school to college, but her heart lies in high school. Karen believes that teens are creative, capable, and inspiring—and that when given the opportunity, they can become amazing leaders. She loves Happy Crew’s mission that every teen feels like they matter and belong, knowing that a strong sense of value and purpose is essential to positive adolescent development. Her experience working with teens and connections with area schools will help grow Happy Crew so that more teens feel supported, valued, and connected.
